Faith Versus Materialism
The methodology of reform evolved by God's apostle is inspired by an unflinching faith and sincere conviction to the After-Life. On the other hand, the idea of After-Life is often employed by the modern reformist movements solely as an expedient to social and modern reform. The result obtained by the two is well known. This exegesis of Surat al-Kahf explains in the light of the Qur'an, the challenging issues of the modern times and what guidance we can get from this Surah to find a solution.
The book attempts to explain two concepts diametrically opposed to each other: one is materialism denoting the primary and objective existence of the external material world; and the other asserts the existence of realities which lay beyond the range of human perceptions, for example, the existence of [good]. The book further explains the meaning and the purpose of Faith and warns against the denial of God and His authority.
