The Islamic Center of the Shiites of Brazil, or the Islamic Center of San Paolo, is one of the most active Shiite centers in Latin America. It is based and is managed by Sheikh Talib Hossein Khazraji.

The center was started twenty years ago by Sheikh Talib Hussein Khazraji. Talib Hussein was born in Najaf in 1954, he started seminary classes in his hometown, and after his brother Nasser Hussein in 1979 by the ruling regime in Iraq. He was killed, went to Syria and continued his education. He studied in Iran from 1982 to 1986, and in 1986, in coordination with the Islamic Propaganda Organization and Bilal Muslim Mishan, went to Tanzania to preach among the Twelver. The following year he returned to Qom and worked for a while at the Bint Al-Huda School (a seminary for non-Iranian sisters). Talib Hussein left for Brazil in 1989.

Sheikh Talib Hussein has been the director of the Mohammad Rasoolullah (PBUH) Mosque in Brazil for 15 years
