Contemporary Iran (Political System)
The developments taken place in Iran over the past two decades have drawn the attention of writers and researchers to the extent that thousands of books and articles have been written about these developments in various countries of the world. Research about these developments are still going on. It goes without saying that the impact of the developments that have taken place in Iran on international relations and international system has been considerable. These development call for a more scientific studies in order to answer to some of the questions that have been preoccupying the researchers over the past two decades. The present study is an attempt to study the processes, characteristics and features of the developments in Iran over the past two decades, particularly the reasons for the Islamic Revolution of Iran. The main approach of the authors in the present study is sociological. The present study may be an impartial source for the researchers who are interested in undertaking further studies.
