Imam Jalaluddin Suyuti Biography and Works

Hafiz, Abul-Fadl Jalal-ud-Din Abd al-Rahman ibn Kamal-ud-Din Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad al-Suyuti, known as Ibn al-Suyuti al-Shafi'i, is an Egyptian Sunni scholar and the author of many works on hadith, history, and other sciences. He was a follower of the Shafi'i school of jurisprudence; of course, Sunni scholars have considered him an expert and a mujtahid. Suyuti studied science until the age of forty and then isolated himself from society to devote himself to compiling and writing books. Some of his students include: Abdul Qadir Shadli, Muhammad Ibn Iyas and Muhammad Dawoodi. Suyuti had great devotion and affection for the Ahl al-Bayt of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him and his family), and in some of his books, including "Ihya' al-Mit bi Fadha'il Ahl al-Bayt", he mentioned the virtues and virtues of those noble ones, and for this reason, his books have received more attention from Shia scholars than other Sunni books. Abdul Rahman Suyuti died on Friday, 19th Jumada al-Awwal, 911 AH, and was buried in "Housh Qawsun" outside "Bab al-Qarafa" in Egypt.
