Surah al-Fatihah is a key to the understanding of the Qur’ān and epitomizes its entire message in seven verses. Muslim thinkers and sages have, in all times and climates, delved deeply into the meaning and significance of this sŭrah. The present study is an effort in the same direction by a contemporary student of the Qur’ān.
