The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam (1930) is Muhammad Iqbal's major philosophic work: a series of profound reflections on the perennial conflict among science, religion, and philosophy, culminating in new visions of the unity of human knowledge, of the human spirit, and of God. Iqbal's thought contributed significantly to the establishment of Pakistan, to the religious and political ideals of the Iranian Revolution, and to the survival of Muslim identity in parts of the former USSR. It now serves as new bridge between East and West and between Islam and the other Religions of the Book. With a new Introduction by Javed Majeed, this edition of The Reconstruction opens the teachings of Iqbal to the modern, Western reader. After due Praise and Blessings, it should be said that this is one of the most beneficial books. It proves the veracity of Ahle-Bayt (a.s.) and speaks about the injustices inflicted on them. It is simple but sweet in style. Few books can match it on this count. Though it has been printed many times, its demand exceeds supply. Thus Agha Mirza Nasrullah Meherkhwan has decided to publish a fresh edition of this book and requested the humble slave to write a brief introduction, especially about the author. I have complied with his request, albeit briefly, due to my busy schedule.

Analysis of the History of Aale Muhammad (P.B.U.H.)

Imam or leader is the title given to a person who takes the lead in a community in a particular social movement or political ideology or scientific or religious form of thought. Naturally, because of his relation to the people he leads, he must conform his actions to their capabilities in both important and secondary matters.

As is clear from the preceding chapters, the sacred religion of Islam takes into consideration and gives directives concerning all aspects of the life of all men. It investigates human life from the spiritual point of view and guides man accordingly, and it intervenes on the plane of formal and material existence from the point of view of the life of the individual. In the same way it intervenes on the plane of social life and its regulation (i.e., on the plane of government).

Thus the imamate and religious leadership in Islam may be studied from three different perspectives: from the perspective of Islamic government, of Islamic sciences and injunctions, and of leadership and innovative guidance in the spiritual life. Shi'ism believes that since Islamic society is in dire need of guidance in each of these three aspects, the person who occupies the function of giving that guidance and is the leader of the community in these areas of religious concern must be appointed by God and the Prophet. Naturally, the Prophet himself was also appointed by Divine Command....

When Allah Ta’ala did Aqd (Marriage) of Maola of the Universe Ali (s.a.) and Syyedatun Nisa al-Aalameen Fatima Zahra (s.a.) on Arsh e Mo’alla, then Rasool Allah (s.a.w.a.w.) said: Today I got good news from Allah Ta’ala concerning my brother, son of my uncle and my daughter, and that is Allah Ta’ala has married Ali (s.a.) with Fatima (s.a.), and ordered the treasurer of Jannat Rizwan to shake Tooba Tree, so they shook it, due to shaking leaves fell down equal to the number of friends of Ahlul Bait (s.a.a.). Noori Angels (a.s.) picked up those leaves. When it will the day of Qiyamah, then they will hand over these leaves to them, and these leaves will be certificates of immunity to the Fire of Hell, whichever man or lady will get this certificate, he/she will be saved from Jahannam for the sake of my brother and my daughter. On these leaves it is written: From Ali-alJabbaar (Allah) for the Shias of Ali (s.a.) & Fatima (s.a.): Immunity from Fire.
