“Imam Husayn’s Revolution, Its Social Circumstances and Humanitarian Values”, was written by Allamah Shaykh Muhammad Mahdi Shamsuddin while studying and teaching in the Holy City of Najaf. He was among the gifted intellectuals, the leading graduates of institutions of higher learning. They were symbols of guidance whom Allah had made lovers of faith, and haters of disbelief, vice and sinfulness. They were the rightly guided people from the scholars of Holy Najaf. They were those who desired nothing besides the truth, and never sought derailment for the words of Allah. They were among those who received wisdom wherever they sought it.
