Al-Tafsir Al-Kashif is a complete commentary on the Quran in Arabic, written by the Shiite scholar Muhammad Jawad Mughniyah, This commentary was written with an educational approach and an approximate tendency. About the author Sheikh Muhammad Jawad Mughniyah is the son of Sheikh Mahmoud, one of the Shiite scholars and commentators in the 14th century. He was born in Lebanon and began his education in his homeland and then went to Najaf. After returning to Lebanon, he assumed the position of judge and head of the judiciary there. Sheikh Jawad Mughniyah has many works in various sciences and is the author of two commentaries, Al-Kashif and Al-Mubin. He died in 1400 AH and was buried in the shrine of Imam Ali (AS). Motive for writing His motive for writing this commentary is to meet the need of Muslims to understand the divine book for guidance and salvation from misguidance and error, and the educational and guiding method of this commentary stems from this goal. He considers his main goal in presenting this commentary to be to respond to the needs of the contemporary world and to convince the new and young generation. The introduction of this commentary contains material about the greatness of the Quran, the expectations and needs of the era and the new generation. Author's Method The commentator's method is such that at the beginning, he explains the meaning of difficult words, then explains idioms and literary points, then deals with the verse and its meaning and message. The commentator also pays great attention to taking help from other verses and interpreting the Quran with the Quran and reliable hadiths. Thematic discussions (historical, doctrinal, moral) about the verse have also been raised. Features Sheikh Mughniyeh is largely influenced by political and social issues in interpreting the verses of the Quran, and speaks of the conspiracies and crimes of the enemies of Islam in distorting the Quran and Islam. He strives for rapprochement and unity between Islamic sects and expresses the danger of religious fanaticism for Islamic unity.
